POSITION TITLE: Wireless System Engineer
POSITION DUTIES: Design and validate advanced digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms — including Time Difference of Arrival (TDoA), Time of Arrival (ToA), Angle of Arrival (AoA), and beamforming — for passive radar systems. Implement Low-PHY, High-PHY, and MAC layer procedures for O-RAN compliant 5G systems in C to support Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC) research. Develop IEEE 802.11 PHY- and MAC-layer functions in C for ISAC applications in Wi-Fi–based systems. Design and implement algorithms in Python for the decoding and analysis of airborne communication protocols to supportISAC research. Build and validate a containerized 5G end-to-end network (UE, gNB, AMF, SMF, UDM, AUSF) to evaluate ISAC performance. Conduct advanced troubleshooting of 5G network components using C, including Docker orchestration and multi-layer protocol debugging (PHY, MAC, PDCP, RLC, RRC, NAS). Lead the design and integration of hardware prototypes, including physical layout and thermal engineering, for ISAC system demonstrations.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors’ degree in Electrical, Computer, Telecommunications Engineering or a closely related field. Five (5) years of experience in digital communications, signal processing, and wireless systems.
